With my Career Enhancement Protocol (CEP) is now in full effect (with a goal of addressing Health Disparities linked to Environmental causes), I’m taking a deep dive into Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to stay ahead of an upcoming course requirement.

I first learned GIS back in 2013 through an intensive 2-day course at the University of Maryland, College Park. That feels like a lifetime ago in tech years! I know the field has evolved tremendously since then, with new tools, better interfaces, and more powerful analytical capabilities. Python integration alone has probably revolutionized how we approach spatial analysis.
